Viewpoint Lake Bled 

One of the most famous photos of Slovenia is of Lake Bled, with the island and its church in the centre. Of course, you’ll want to see that breathtaking view for yourself, won’t you? It does require a walk and a bit of scrambling to reach the spot where you can admire and photograph this unique scene.  

Where is the viewpoint for Bled? 

A walking trail starting at the southernmost point of the lake takes you through the woods towards the viewpoint. Don’t expect tarmac here. The hike upwards involves clambering over rocky paths, so sturdy walking boots are certainly recommended. 

At the top of the viewpoint you’ll find several large stones to sit on and take in the scenery. In good weather, there’s a stunning view stretching all the way to the mountain peaks of the  

Route to the viewpoint: Mala Osojnica 

You’ll spot the red pointer on the south side of the lake. From there, follow the path uphill into the woods towards the viewpoint. (marked in yellow)
