Hike to Crno Jezero lake

Near Lake Bohinj you’ll find an idyllic little lake that is perhaps even more beautiful. High up in the mountains lies Crno Jezero. You can reach this mountain lake via a challenging walk starting from the Savica Waterfall.

Seven lakes hike

The lake is part of the ‘seven lakes trail’. This is a mountain hike in Triglav National Park. It’s a tough walk that can easily take you 12 hours.

Dvojno Jezero

A highlight during this hike is the double lake ‘Dvojno Jezero’. You’ll find it roughly halfway round.

Hike with a steep climb

The ‘Seven Lakes Route’ begins with a very steep ascent (675 m/2 km) from Lake Bohinj. When the weather is clear, you can enjoy stunning views over Lake Bohinj, the valley of the Julian Alps and Triglav itself. Along the hike you’ll come across several mountain huts

Here you can eat and sleep, but it’s strongly recommended to bring enough water, food, and sun protection.

The entire Seven Lakes walking route is truly an experience. But of course, you can also just do the climb up to the little lake and return.
