Shopping in Ljubljana

The city center of Ljubljana is not the place to go for shopping. The center is not full of stores. You’ll find some stores in the center, but for shopping, you need to go elsewhere! ALEJA

One of the newest indoor shopping centers can be found in the north of Ljubljana: ALEJA. Here you will find stores by Adidas, H&M, Nespresso, S.Oliver and dozens more stores. All together in an indoor shopping center.

BTC CITY

The largest area full of stores can be found at BTC City. This is not just an indoor shopping center. Its a large shopping center, and a lot of stores in the area around it. In addition to clothing stores including Primark, you’ll find there a giant Decathlon, hardware stores and the Ljubljana IKEA.

Food Court

Don’t miss the foodcourts at BTC City. At the top-floor of the indoor shoppingcenter you’ll find a variaty of restaurants.

But maybe it’s more fun to go for the outside streetfood foodcourt. There is a variety of all styles of food. Like Asian, Greek and BBQ-food. Ready for a poke bowl or a sausage? Check the foodcourt.

At Sunday stores are closed

Shopping on Sunday can be done throughout Slovenia only at the bakery and a gas station. All the big shopping centers and stores are closes on Sundays. And also supermarkets are closed on Sundays.

Sunday in Slovenia is a day for going out together with your family. But not for shopping.
